Here are four spiders I dressed.
I was rumaging about among my hen skins and I found a very nice

They are all on size 12 Varivas. Camel dubbing.

Donald, Howdy;

WOW!

Beautiful tyes... the last 2 remind me of the early '70's, something like the hairstyles one might see in London near Carneby St.
It was a fun time...

I called Jim a couple weeks ago asking about a Rusty Dun & Honey Dun hen necks. He said he got cleaned out at one of the recent tying shows he attended. You post gives me another reason to get a Rusty Dun neck. Beautiful flies Donald, as always.

Fantastic flies Donald.............just gorgeous. :D

hank.....they were still wearin' hair like that in London all through the 80's and into the 90's...........

Ray.....(since Jim's tapped), get ahold of Steve at Golden Rule fly shop.........i've been buyin' hen skins (etc., etc., etc.), from him for years........he has killer stuff at MORE than fair prices. He's in Tahlequah, Oaklahoma. i think his shop is just in his garage or whatever.......but he has a huge inventory........and does a LOT of shows. i've seen him at 3 shows already this year.........try google. ;)

Ray,

That was probably the Idaho Falls show and I may be partly responsible for Jim being sold out. I was located close to Jim's booth and was tying flies using a Honey Dun neck I got from Jim. When folks asked where I got that beautiful neck I just pointed to Jim's booth. Several folks left my table and went straight to his booth. I've been using the honey dun with an almost white list on a couple flies lately. Looking good.

I know you've probably posted it before but what tying thread are you using in the first pics. It looks great with that dubbing.

Thanks for the info Mark, but I think I am going to wait for Jim to get some back in stock. I'd like to send the business in his direction, thanks in part to his support of this site. Besides, it's not like I don't already have enough other hackle to play with... :lol:

Ron - It was that show. I called Jim the day he got back and he still had stuff in the truck from the trip. You seem to have done a good sales job. ;) :D
