Fellow forum member and sometimes fishing buddy William was good enough to send me several colors of dyed mole, all of which I have attempted to incorporate into one pattern ...
Hook: Daiichi 1550, #12
Thread: Pearsall's Gossamer #19, Hot Orange
Hackle: Greenwell hen cape
Body: Mole in dubbing loop, starting at rear: tan, tan & dark brown mix, dark brown, and finally black

Mole is on great material to use. I use a fur rake to get what I need. Makes for great touch dubbing when you just want to ghost the silk.

You've done it again, Bill! Beautiful fly, and beautifully photographed.

Veerryy nice tie. Like the use of all the shades of dubbing. That one looks like something no fish could refuse.
Thanks for posting.

Never too much mole. Very nice Bill. This will make a nice sub for a hare's ear nymph. I find myself fishing almost no plain nymphs, just nymphs with soft hackles.

That's pretty much where I'm at, Flymphs Softhackles or Streamers. . .

Man, I could fish this fly all day long. Love the body work, and such a nice job of it. Glad you are enjoying the mole. Great use of keeping something simple and taking it further.

That's as "Perfect" a fly as any fish deserves........fish don't love up on that can kiss my ass. That's exquisite............and the pic kills.
