Tan Mole and Dun 1530

No recipe needed. I just tied up a few of these. Nothing new, just my subtle, drab "go to" types. The tan mole is a bit stiff and coarse (only compared to natural mole which is so silky it feels like cheating) probably due to the bleaching process. It's not better or worse, just different. Makes a body more comparable to hare or even australian opposum. Looks like camel, tastes like chicken.

Dub-ya, Howdy;

You know how to wake someone up ... nice looking flys.
Quick and clean. Minimum of materials.

So simple even me could do them... :D

Really think I'm beginning to catch on just a wee bit.

Lovely set of flies, William. I viewed your post and was compelled to headed straight to my vice, to replicate some for my own. The twinkle of the wire rib is so appealing.

Question - What color thread did you use? I can't quite tell if it is an olive-dun, or black.

This is the style of fly that has drawn me to Flymphs/Soft hackles. Simple, yet diverse. Great tie sir!

Thanks everyone. These are the flies that got my attention a few years ago too. Workhorses is a good way to put it. Someone said they should be as quick to tie as they are to loose. That's about right for me too.
