I definitely like the contrast between the smooth porcupine and the spiral of GP fiber--it's got "exoskeleton" written all over it. (BTW, I'm digging the mallard flank tails as well... )

Thanks for the kind comments. This is the first time I've used such a large hackel from a wood cock wing. Its pretty flimsy, but has great mottling. This might be cool with a hen hackle tied through the thorax.
