Moose Golden Pheasant and Spotted Hen

Silk: Brown Griffiths 14/0
Hackle: Spotted Hen saddle
Body: 2 Moose mane hairs twisted with 4 Golden Pheasant tail herls and tying silk
Thorax: Dark Brown Mole
Tails: Moose mane hair tips (tied in to represent an adult stonefly tails.

I think the tail limits the general use of the pattern by attempting anatomical accuracy, but it won't hurt, honestly. They do look kind of lame against the broader body and fuller hackle, but stonefly tails are kind of lame.

This one i really like William.

Now that's a brown stonefly pattern for my waters. In a #10-12 and Palmer the hackle over the thorax.

FANTASTIC! aint NUFFIN' lame bout it..........that is so cool. Makes a great Stonefly flymph/nymph/what the hell's the difference anyway..........fly. Actually, spose the only real difference is where in the water column you fish it.........but you run that through the riffles.....no weight, no indicator.....just YOU, "On The Case".........and you GONNA hook up.

Good Lord, I'm so far behind I haven't ever responded on my own posts! Sorry. Thanks for the comments. I do like these bodies, especially the profile the present with the action. (CB, I think you're profiles are going to be similar, but with a lot more life.)
