Mirage Soft Hackle

Here is something hot off the vise.

The hook is a Mustad 3906 #14, the body is Opal Mirage ribbed with the red 8/0 Uni tying thread tag, Peacock thorax, a turn of Starling and a Tangerine glass bead.

Those colors have been very popular here in the Rockies for a short time (Rainbow Warrior). You do very good work sir!

Should work equally well on trout and panfish. Beautiful fly.

Ilike what you've done with those few materials.

I'll +1 Ray's thoughts, bluegills and crappie would fin each other to the piscator ER to get after that... :D

An eye catcher for sure; I like very much what you've done with the hackle.

I like it! :D These little glass beads are the only ones I actually DON'T mind using on a fishing fly. They give so much more to the fly than the metal do, except maybe the extra weight.
