Roadkill, Howdy;

Good looking fly ...

Careful with them beads ... you'll find yourself teetering on the brink of the "darkside' before ya knows it.. ;)

Hank,

Tying is part of a Yin/Yang thing. The decent into the "darkside" started with a simple glass bead scud from an expo about 15 years ago. But don't worry my Darth Wader personality doesn't really come out until I am surf casting and tie on Joe Warren style Saltwater extended body flies with bite tippit, crimp sleeves, fish hair and larger beads. :mrgreen:

That pattern has all of the desired features combined in beautiful fashion; I'm betting that it will be very successful as a fish catcher.

It was the last two days as Dubbn said in all parts of the water column. ;) Yesterday I tried it in a #16 as well, both will find a place in my Soft Hackle boxes.

Great creation you have there, and I love the colors too. The bead tops it off nicely!
