hook WR 3x curved shank size 14
thread uni black 6/0
rib and tag orange nylon
body turkey tail, i chose from the top of the feather with the cream color tip for the butt of the fly
thorax peacock herl
hackle starling

rib and tag yellow nylon
body bleached bronze turkey quill
thorax peacock herl
hackle white hen

body light olive hare's ear

I'll probably never fish these, but I really enjoyed working on the different style hook

These are just the thing I pick out when water is high and fast and the holding lie is predictable. The first one is my favorite, mostly because the color combo is so easy to see and makes a nice profile. These are fantastic.

Very cool--I'm addicted to the TMC 200r profile hooks for flymphs as well...makes a great emerger, I think, though I mostly tie on them because they make the C&R of my dumb little trout so easy. :) (I usually start the body at the hook point so there's some bare metal for me to grab with either my fingers or forceps...once you hold the shank still, they''ll shake themselves off without you ever having to handle them.)

I agree, fantastic set of flies and beautifully photographed. I love them all, but the yellow one is my favorite of the bunch. Thanks for sharing.

They ARE Fantastic! Really sharp little beauties. Each has it's own charactor.....should work VERY well. ;)
