Just dreamt up a new emerger. Prolly never be tyed again though..... i call it the Halo Sulpher Emerger.....or maybe it should be, the Angelic Sulpher Emerger.....you call it whatever you like. Trust me, it's irresistable........ .....just havin' a BAll!
Hook: Gamakatsu S10U size 10.....using it because Kelly liked it so much & it has an up eye (good for emergers), & quite a long shank.
Thread: Danville 6/0 Orange
Abdomen: DST Pecory Quill Sulpher Orange
Thorax: dyed Bright Yellow Seal fur
Wing: bout 8 little itsy bitsy GP crest, tyed in as a Halo.........
might do another one, with a tail or trailing shuck.......we'll see. Pic tomorrow.........hopefully. Soon anyway.....

Oh you have to leave us hanging Mark. Do the fly, post the picture, then the recipe. The anticipation can be a killer.

Ariel, i made you up a package of Pecory quills.....natural & dyed. PM address again. i don't usually save those things. And lemme know if you want/need a few lengths of horse hair as well.....i can throw somma that in. You can dye that stuff with Bic/Sharpie pens.

BTW, I'm very intrigued by the S10--is it the same shank length as the Mustad R50U, or is the shank a bit longer?

Jon.....i'll have to see (hunt up) if i even have any of those Mustads round here. i haven't bought any Mustads since before the new model numbers were invented......got some freebies 3 or 4 times the last few years, so i may have those, but i aint sure.....although, if i'm not mistaken, the R50 is a short shank.....that up eyed Gamakatsu is a fairly long shank.
