Ok not the neatest tie, or best photo, but I can only get better at both.... right?
Irish Cormorant Fry.
Hook: Kamasan B 110 #12
Thread: Uni Black #8
Body: Uni-floss Black
Rib: Purple tinsel
Body Coating: Head cement
Hackle: Natural black hen
Wing: Bronze Mallard barbs
Cheeks: Split Jungle Cock eye

Lovely fly! I imagine this would be a deadly loch (stillwater) pattern. Have you fished with this pattern before?

Fished it? No not as of yet, I only just stumbled onto the pattern yesterday and I have only been to Ireland in the Winter when only the brave or the fool hearty head to the water!
I have to work a lot on my photography and tying neater flies to present here, but these are fishing flies not display items and I do not have a lot of soft hackle tying time under my belt as of yet.
Looks better from a distance with some friends.

They all look great to me. Please don't hold back. Your among friends, and we would love to see your soft hackle flies. Best way to learn is to tye. If we can be of help, just ask. You will be amazed by the knowledge on this site.
