Tan flymph

Post by JohnP » Sun Jan 15, 2012 5:32 pm

I was inspired by Dougsden's tan flymph and had to try my hand at it.

Mark - You can blame me for the color. John sent me the image so I could help him post the photo. I messed around with the image and may have over adjusted the brightness.

Here is a version of the photo (same fly), which DUBBN was kind enough to adjust and send to me. (Thanks Wayne).

John, this is exactly the kind of thing that rings true when I think of flymphs. Especially the hackle. Yes, I know they come in all shapes and sizes, as they should, but this one looks spot on to me. Great fly.

John, very nice well proportioned tie.
I kind of like both colour variations shown by your photos.

JohnP and others,
Wow! This pattern really stands up and says "Notice Me!!!" It is simply fantastic esp. with the "color adjustment"! I am pleased and tickled ....Tan! Wait 'til you pass one of these in front of your favorite fishes!
Super-good job friend,
