I have to say you're right--I've enjoyed tying from the dyed Sharptail Grouse that Blue Ribbon sells, but "in hand" there's no comparison. (And I'm assuming y'all will back me up on this if my wife bridles a bit when she sees next month's credit card statement...otherwise, Narco better make room in his camper.Many materials have good substitutions that can be used, plover is not one of them.
