Kelly - of the three flies, the bottom one is my favorite. I like the fuller profile.

Thanks Ray, that one is my favorite too. It is the last one I did this evening. I tried to do a split thread, but couldn't split the silk...lol. Oh well, it didn't surprise me. I love this pattern, but I haven't really done it just right yet. I am open to suggestions.

Kelly, all three are really cool ties.
Getting variation is not a bad thing (in my opinion) for fishing flies. Sometimes a different shape or proportion will induce a take when others of the same pattern have failed.
I woud not shun any of them if they graced any of my fly boxes.

Thank you. I have no doubt these flies will take fish. Now I am not sure if I should of called this a nymph or not. But that is what I saw in an article recently, so this is why I named it the way I did. Anyway, I need to try to do the dubbing on my block...it is really designed for wire though, so I am not sure how that will work. Mole is not the easiest material to dub. But I've used harder materials to dub too, that's for sure.

i like these very much Kelly............you did a VERY good job. Your problem with splitting the thread........"might be" (and i have no idea if your actually using Pearsals)..........that your trying to flatten it by spinning it counter-clockwise............that doesn't work with Pearsals, as it does w/regular threads, Danville etc. Pearsals is wound on the bobbin the opposite way as most "threads" are. So, if you wanna flatten it.......you have to spin it clockwise. What are you using to tye with?
