Rib: Flat gold, embossed - corded
Wing: Golden Pheasant tippet barbs, dyed hot orange
Thorax: Seal's fur - equal parts hot orange and fluorescent orange

Wow hans, nice tie and hot colours.
I am going to have to try and find some dyed tippet, the natural just doesn't do it.

Hans, I always admire the thought that goes into these combinations. The gold hook and gold tinsel, and then the transitions from materials are just impeccable. Nicely done. It's an awfully subtle technique in such a less than subtle pattern.

Hans, when I was a young man, I rented an old farmhouse with a couple of other guys. We each had a bedroom, and went about painting our own. I was cheap (frugal?) and used some paint I found in the basement. It was almost exactly the same color as your fly. My window faced the East, and when the sun came up in the mornings, I was AWAKE! :o
