I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

All wonderful: the violet fox was inspired. :) A question: what's your "pea green" silk, and what does it look like wetted out?

Thanks Kelly,
It's tough (and always a good exercise) to read a description of an old pattern and tie it with your flavor, not really knowing how accurate you might be to the original. We get so caught up in the visual nowadays.

CreationBear, it is a Pearsall's color, I didn't have it marked, my best guess is the color light olive. I haven't used it much, not sure the color of this one when wet. The grasshopper and the cow-dung use the same thread, the cow-dung is waxed.

Carl, that Grasshopper tye matches up with that hook frickin' marvolusly. WAY to Cool. 8-)

I thought the same thing about the hook Mark. I don't know if the 1835 version had that much dubbing on it or not, but, when I think grasshopper it's fat and juicy. :D
