I like Hans's puns on classic fly names, so here's another one.
If only my tying were more polished—but I'm practicing every day.
I just got this dyed partridge skin and the Klinkhamer hooks today, and couldn't wait to try them out.
Constructive criticism welcome.

Hook: Daiichi 1167 (Klinkhamer) size 10
Thread: Pearsalls silk, Jasper (two-color, black and orange-brown)
Hackle: Hungarian Partridge dyed burnt orange
Body: Cortecelli silk buttonhole twist
Thorax: dyed rabbit and mohair

Wow! Great use of materials and colors. Love the urnt orange hackle.
Very nicely tied.

That's a great looking tie--must be rather meaty on that big Klinkhammer hook. FWIW I've always been curious how such hooks ride in the water, sub-surface, compared to the standard TUE hooks most of us use for our classic flymphs. I can see the latter as an ascending emerger, especially with a tight line, but I wonder if the "hunched" profile of the Klink hook ever mimics the posture of a natural.

Oh Yeah.........THAT works! Buttonhole twist is an old material used in fly tying from way back in the days..........and mixing rabbitt and MoHair.....to cool.
That hackle is KILLER.....i've got an orange one too.......well, Misa does. Beautiful tye.
