Hackle: Hen, dyed black
Tail: Cock barbs, dyed black
Rib: Produce bag ribbon, black
Body: Seal's fur, scarlet

Hackle: Starling
Abdomen: Narrow purple plastic ribbon taken from a blood oranges bag, single layer, wrapped thorax to bend
Rib: Narrow purple plastic ribbon taken from a blood oranges bag, twisted into cord, and ribbed towards thorax
Thorax: Seal's fur, purple

A simple question ...
The material on the bobbin in the photo of the purple Blood Orange (I love them ... to bad the season is short),
is it the netting material or ... 'just thread ' ?

I like the subtle color contrast in the bloodsport. That ribbon and seal should be a nice translucent combo.

For some reason though, if I lost that fly on the water it would make me feel like I was littering. ;)
