Beautiful, I like the looks of those twisted bodies as well.
....but isn't referred to as a "cow" moose....
I digress....

William is running wild again. Interesting body. Beware of hen moose. They can be dangerous when they have their little ones.

William - This is breathtaking...crazy good!
(you should do a version with moose and squirrel dubbing thorax - a "Rocky & Bullwinkle 1550")

So hen mooses aren't an important part of trout culture? I must have heard that fella wrong. I do like like the bullwinkle variant fly. I'll get on that. Thanks for all the comments. I have another shot of a similar fly that I thought would be interesting but looked unappetizing in print. I'm sure there are a few uglier bugs its a match for. I'll post it when I'm online. Sometimes lessons in what didn't work are as good as what does. (silly)

Thanks, Vicki.
Here's the other that will probably be a fine little fishing fly, but I think it needs more life, or something. It just doesn't ring true for me, so like I said, sometimes it's nice to see the trials that just don't feel right.
I'll just call this...
Hen and Moose with Copper Thread 1550 (better?)
