Hans,
Your handsome pattern has attributes of Leisenring's favorite flies, including the Red Hackle and the Gray Hackle.
Here is a terrible photo, but the best I have, of his Gray Hackle. He preferred the red-bronze peacock herl, and this is not palmered either, but the resemblance is there nonetheless

Is there going to be a video tutorial on this method? I cannot get my head around how you twist the hackle and herl and still get the hackle to palmer like that!
