Definitely a "Sons of Anarchy" vibe with this one...I like it! :) Am I right that the waxed Gudebrod keeps a vibrant color even when it wets out?

CB,

I would expect so, as it is a nylon not a silk. I will snap you a picture in a bit, then we can all decide.

Bad Ass, indeed! (I mean that in a complimentary way) Killer pattern, Hans. I was very surprised when I read the size of the hook. I was expecting it to be a size 2 or 4 hook. For some reason, the photo makes it look like a larger hook than typically used on our small flymphs. I love this hook. It reminds me of the curved hooks I use for larger steelhead patterns.

I look forward to seeing the wet shot as well. I expect the tag to remain just as vibrant when the fly is wet.

It looks ready for action, in a handsomely scruffy sorta way...great fly.

The Gerard Butler of flies, no doubt. Great looking compositioon...I'm digging the 2 or 3 extra-long irons.

Hans, this really is Bad Ass. I always enjoy the effect you are able to get with such textured dubbing. Beautifully done.
