Well I made a few flymphs yesterday. I tried to tie some with hackle through the thorax, instead of just a collar. Here are the best 3 of those, in my opinion. Critiques are welcome. (I have very little experience with this, so fire away) ;)

All look great - all fish catchers. :D
Really like the hackle spread on the second one.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the comments. The first and second have Brahma hen in dark dun. The 3rd one is a red tipped ginger dun for hackle. The dubbing on the 3rd one is my own mix mainly of awesome possum, with hare. I also added pink in the thorax, although it is hard to tell. The first two dubbings are mainly awesome possum and hare mixed. (no pink) I mixed both myself, so they are not a standard dubbing. The tails are all Coq de Leon hen saddle feather fibers. The first two have a cinnamon silk, the last a salmonberry.

Thanks gingerdun, I'm hoping to one day be able to tie some of these like the old masters did.

The first fly looks a little compact to me, but the other two look great. Nice proportions and shape.
