Dubbin - Sometimes I think I get almost as much enjoyment out of photographing them as I do tying them. Have a long way to go on both counts, but it's in the journey that you find the satisfaction.

I like both fly and photograph (minor suggestion on the latter - ease off a notch on the sharpening?)

My question is more on name choice. This is your fly and you can name it as you see fit - but curious whether there is a specific reason to deviate from the general "(hackle) & (body)" convention.

Yes, the photo is a little harsh because of the sharpening. I'm using Picasa, and have noticed the photos, especially when "sharpened", are a spot harsher, when posted here and on other sites, than on my monitor. Don't know enough about it yet to know whether it's my monitor, or Picasa (or, I suspect, operator error ). I'll ease up on the sharpening and see what happens.
As far as the name, no particular reason, just started typing.

I do really appreciate the comments, though. I just started posting photos since I got a new Christmas camera, and this whole thing has been, and continues to be, an enjoyable learning process; albeit a little confusing at times.
