Now that, is really cool. How to take a simple tie and give that "X" factor, that is a really neat hot spot.

On your split thread bodies though Hans, do you bias the fibres more to one side, or place them centrally in the thread? You just seem to get longer flowing body fibres than I do when I try!

All depends on the result I am after. In this case I go for a longer staple - plucked off a mink tail (body would work just as well), teased out a bit and inserted into the split thread, then twisted. One can always brush out the dubbed body some with a patch of velcro, but generally not required when starting with the suitable base material.
