Not to be rude Hans, but just how many capes do you have?!
Neat tie. The larger hackle would flow back when wet to imitate either aquatic insect or small baitfish.... least in my mind it does! :lol:

It took me a minute to figure out the meaning of the name of this fly. Good one, Hans. :D

Hans, Howdy;

Have you ever heard of J. C. Penny's Dept. store? Kind of like a Mark's & Spencer

http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/default.asp ... 0penny%60s
(no I'm not connected to them , don't even shop there).

Like Ray I too was confused at first. then ..... nothing but ... Hans!

Thanks for sharing;

Eh yes Hank, I am well familiar with the dept store.

Why i named the pattern as i did?

1. Dept store name recognition
2. JC = Jungle Cock
3. Penny as the color of the coin

There sometimes is method to my madness... 8-)

Cheers,
Hans W

I find this to be an exceptionally attractive fly, and the name is typically Hans-clever.
