Ray, I know this is not the tecnique you are using with UV resin. The technique I'm using (Charlie Cravens) accentuates the resin itself. Like I said in another thread, I havent used this technique in years, but it does look kinda cool to other fishermen. I dont think the trout I go after could give a "Brown Rats @$$". :D That and it sets up clear.

Hook - I size 16 laying on my desk
Thread - Benicchi 12/0 , Tobacco
Tail- Pheasant Tail dyed Brown
Abdomen- Clear Midge Tubing with Black wire core
Thorax- Dark Muskrat
Collar- Lt. Brown Hen Saddle
Shell, Wingcase,,,???------ Loons Knot Sense UV resin

Wow, Wayne, your trout might not prefer one over the other, but that is a very cool looking fly. Fisherman everywhere will love this. Actually, with or without, this is a great fly.

Agreed! Great fly, Wayne. I love the length of the hook. It gives the fly a nice slender profile. I love the segmentation, too. Very cool.

I can't imagine fish turning away from one of these!

Thanks for the kind words you three, but the fly had a razor blade taken to it right after the picture. Yes, I am sure it would catch fish but I was using the fly to demonstrate a technique. A technique that I no longer find necessary. I doubt that pattern could ever compete with a PT, or Hares Ear Soft Hackle. I mean this when I say it. "Simplicity is a quality in it's self." Again, thank you all so very much for the kind words. :)
