Hackle - Hen, Brown
A little disapointed the underbody didn't show thru better. Going to have to try a red thread next.

Oh, yeah - the mono was very lightly touch-dubbed with a grayish hare's ear.

I bet this pattern will drive the brook trout wild! Great attractor/searching pattern. I like the way the claret gives the abdomen a warm underglow. It reminds me of a black fly gorged with blood.

Heck of an idea there Chase Creek...gives the fly a "glow". Too bad there aren't more "hi-Vis" colors of line....I think there actually is a hi-vis in green...hmmmmm...
