Hackle: Whiting Coq de Leon hen, medium pardo
Tag: Nylon floss, chartreuse
Tail: Lady Amherst tippet barbs, dyed dark olive
Body: Peacock herl

Looks a real fish catcher of a tie. I am not familiar with the original so cannot spot the variation! :lol:
That is some nice well flumed herl you have there, gives a very nice body.

Hans, thank you, all is clear, brighter and lighter than original. Both look worthy of space in my travelling fly box for June.

That's a great looking herl and a handsome pattern. I'm guessing the pattern is of Scottish origin with the reference to Alan. Such a good guy. I hope he's checking in on us from time to time. :)

Hans,

You have probably noticed that I am presently fixated on peacock herl flies (when time allows), so I appreciate this post, and link to the Ke He.
I'm following your other posts too, although I've not been taking the time to share my praise. Thanks for it all!
