Thread - 6/0 Red
Body - Mixture of Sow Scud, Amber & Bighorn Orange
Thorax - FTD Hare's Web, Black
Hackle - Grizzly Hen

Great looking fly!
For the next photo could we have the match just ingniting? The abdomen colouration lends itself to the colours of a match bursting to life as it touches the striker.
Very neat tie, colour and materials give a sense of vibrance and life.

Great fly but not a new concept.
The Italians 'Valsesiana' patterns all had a head of different colour to that of the fly. Commonly this was orange.

There are 13 or 14 pages of info on them, the modern fly pictures are taken from Lawrie's
book on International Trout Flies ca. 1969 and are not very good. I had meant to dress some
and have better illustrations, alas cataracts. I will see what I can do, but I've given myself too
many projects.
