Partridge and Hare Blend 3919B

Hook: Vintage Mustad 3919B
Silk: Pearsall's Gossamer Primrose
Hackle: Partridge, center back
Tail: same
Body: Detached silk loop with Hares mask blend #2

I nearly always drop a dubbing loop from the bend, wax one side, touch dub and then create the dubbing loop before wrapping forward. I decided to try tying in a detached dubbing loop. I have yet to make a dubbing block, but I'm branching out. a little.

Fine looking fly on a neat looking hook.
Dubbing loop made detached you say? Very hard to tell as your fly still has a great profile in the body and no real tell-tale at the tie in or tie off...... I must remember not to show you mine!

Thanks everyone. I have a number of things I want to get to and making a dubbing block is on the list. Shouldn't be an issue with all the great discussions and examples around. It's all a work in progress, however slow.
