Nice looking spider Tom.
If you can find yourself a silver pheasant skin you can miss the dying step. ;)

I was guessing the hackle was jackdaw feather, which tends to wrap with similar curved hackle. Nifty technique! I need to remember that one.

Gorgeous fly, Tom, as I've grown to expect.

Ray, I guessed the same feather. Jackdaw was my first thought. This is a great looking fly.
