I particularly liked the top fly. Both are very sweet.

Thanks everyone. I love this cape. Wayne, you'll love having it. The edges give those long soft mottled hackles and the main cape has a wide list and shifts from a rich color to a glassy tip. I wish I could get to all cool stuff I have sitting here to work with. Sooner than later I hope.

The second fly sports a Golden Hen Pheasant tail twist. I have several of the male tails, but not the fm and they are striking in their rich contrast. Bill, you're right about the sulphurs, and maybe a few others as well, with such mottled nymph bodies. Thanks to Mm for sending that. More exotics to come.

The dubbing blend is richer in person with the crinkle and sheen of the beaver, but seems lost in the pics. Would have been nice if the thorax on the second fly showed more of the blend as it was picked out, but I misjudged by the same amount on each one of them. Oh well.

Here's another with the Brahma hackle from the edge of the cape and mole/beaver/hare/seal blend on a Partridge Klink hook. This should probably go in the dun flymph post.

I am really "digging" this hook. It gives a pleasant sweep to the pattern. It reminds me of the profile of many steelhead patterns. Your proportions are perfect, by the way.
