Some seriously buggy flies coming out of your vise lately... :) I'm curious: how does the thread rib hold up over the tinsel after a few fish?

Another very nice one, I am liking this run you are on.
I imagine the thread over tinsel might be stronger than tinsel over thead..... but then I am only assuming and we all know what you do when you assume.

Seems to do OK, but haven't really been able to test it that much. Those Brookies seem to want to chew it up, but have had several (6-7?) do their thing to one fly before I had to change to a fresher one. I'm happy with that. If a fly doesn't get beat up, it's not catching fish.

Those Brookies seem to want to chew it up,
I could live with that, too. :) I tend to "up-armor" my backcountry flies since I fish out of a box the size of a deck of cards, but changing flies every six or seven fish seems reasonable.

Looks like it might be a very nice fly,
but I am afraid with my deteriorating eyesight the back-ground is too fussy
and I cannot get a clear view. Och well, never mind. :)
