Add a trailing shuck, and you have a "Shucky-Darn"!

I know, I know. "Go back to your corner. :x "

A good looking fly, and I really like that Brahma hackle.

Thanks a bunch.

aw, what a perfect fly. I could empty my boxes and retie all the variations to match this overall composition. Just beautiful.

An excellent fly Hans, I like the hook as well.
Darning wool is a much underused material.
I have quite an extensive collection of Chadwick's Darning Wools of many shades,
before I retired, I travelled all over Scotland in the line of business, and in every
small town or village I visited, I would seek out the local haberdashery or sewing shop,
sometimes it was the village general store. I bought quite a lot of darning wool,
never did find any 477 as prescribed by Frank Sawyer.
You've made me think of that collection of wool again, I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Well ya knew the "darn" wasn't 'cause Hans messed up something...now if I named a fly that it would be another story... :)
