Found a pheasant skin while cleaning the debris in the tying room. My focus broken, I sat down and tied a few flies. I'll finish cleaning before Fall. Probably.

chase creek, Howdy;
I'm amazed at the technical depth you've developed when
discribing the colors of the hackle;

I am even more amazed by the photograph. It is very diffucult to capture the colors of irridescent feathers, yet you make it look easy. Magnificent.
I am happy you got distracted. Cleanliness is highly overrated.

Very cool fly. Love the two-tone dubbing, and the photo of the iridescent pheasant feathers.

I like the color transition in the dubbing and think it will fish very well.

I used to write technical descriptions for work, but they don't have me do that anymore.
Go figure!

Rodger, last night I put together a box of flies to take to Roscoe, including a number of yours, similar to this one. It's loaded with flies from those who would rather be there in person to wet them in the Beaverkill. All I can promise is to get them wet, then hope for the best. Your beautiful flies are at the mercy of my best presentation. If I started listing everyone who's flies are represented I'd miss someone, but it is a remarkable, international collection.
