Beautiful fly, restrained and flashy at the same time.
Could you please enlighten me about the vane? A little Google search wasn't much help.

Simply indicates the short section of flash which I folded back over the thorax.

I'm going to ask, too. I'm curious as to what it is there to imitate? I've never seen it done before.

Only reason the vane is there is to add a bit more 'glint'. To please me, if not the trout

My little perchy friends (bream) seem to like a little "attention getter". I think this will find its way into a few patterns. It should prove very profitable. Thank you.
