This has yet to be field tested, but I've got a hunch ...
Hook: Mustad R50U (94842), Size #14
Thread: Pearsall's Hot Orange #19
Hackle: Prairie chicken hen (thanks Doug)
Thorax: Tangerine/gold/natural cream seal blend in loop
Tail: Brown partridge
Abdomen: (3) Pheasant tail fibers twisted with thread and wrapped forward
Another photo lost from my PC.

Yep, I'd follow your hunch. This has all the goods needed for hatch matching and a fine general purpose too. Great pic as well.

Wow, great photo... It looks as if the way you've set the hackle against the thorax would make for a lot of "kick" in the water--I'd be interested if that contributes to that whole emerger vibe, what Loren Williams calls "the struggle of life."

That just looks plain deadly. The silk is really gonna be the selling point on this fly I bet, super cool.

Bill,
Yaa-Whoo! This design is boss! You have taken the natural elements of "the struggling insect" and applied them to the hook and made it very life like! Excellent job Bill. Now, get out there and prove your hunch.....and report back to us as to how right it is!
Witnessing greatness with every one of your post,
Dougsden

Is there a fly called the Terminator? If not that one definitely describes this fly, deadly is not the word. WOW!
