I canceled my float today so I thought I would work on a few more SH's. I decided to give the little Yellow a classyer look. Actually, I was watching some Soft Hackle videos on YouTube and decided I dont tye enough with Partridge. So after a couple cups of coffee I tyed up 4. Somewhere in my garage is the 4th fly. :(

The hackle is a little on the heavy side, but it will work.

Wayne, these are fantastic. The materials really work well together, as you already know. I like this variation very much. It does need a full recipe and a polite request to show more pics like this. It really adds something to see that lower image. Great post.

WOW! The flies are fantastic, as well as the photos.

I'd write more but I need to get off line (lightning storm just moved in - lightning just struck nearby). By for now.

Heres a few more. Basically the same recipe except a change in C&C thread and hackle.
If I can get away in the morning, I will swing these through some riffles. If not I will use them as eye candy in my fly box.

Sweet. These are stellar, especially the October caddis. Great set.
