Just added some March Browns to my fly boxes. This is a simple traditional tie on a #12 with orange thread, whisks of Pheasant tail, Hare's Ear dubbing, and brown Partridge for the hackle.

How did you leave home without these before? This is fantastic. I especially like your proportions on this one. Nicely done.

Very nicely put together. This one will serve as reference when I'm re-filling flyboxes next spring.

Roadkill, fantastic looking fly! I will take a dozen..... #14.
Having left 5 fly boxes full back in Ireland I need to get tying some of these traditional, simple - but trout catching flies when I get home.
Just hope I can do so as well as you show here. Great form!

Really great looking tie. I think of the March Brown as "every man's fly".
Versitile, simple, has all the triggers, and above all - catches fish.

I think you should name this one "Unfair Advantage". Poor fish don't stand a chance against patterns like this.

(humor)

In all seriousness, outstanding pattern. I love March Brown patterns. This is a very welcome addition. Thank you for sharing.

Roadkill,
Outstanding! Your selection of the finely mottled or spotted partridge shows you took your time and made a great choice. The rest of the fly looks pretty spectacular too! Great Job as always!
