The March brown in all its variations has been a great favourite of mine for many years, here are some patterns I have dressed.

Thank you Donald, great flies!

As your last link shows, the Pheasant Tail bodied soft hackles are excellent flies for March Browns and have been one of my go to patterns for years. :)

Donald, another really nice set. Especially the reversed hackle versions. Beautiful flies and seriously effective.

I shall have to confess, all these fly pictures were taken from my web-site.
Some of them go back several years. The reverse hackle versions were dressed last year and earlier this year. I have dressed the Indian hen spiders recently, very hard work. I have been trying to rest the eyes but this may not be a good idea. Does not seem to make any appreciable difference. Ach weell, why worry, I've never died a winter yet. ;)
I shall definitely dress some more flies, if I stick to the old favourites, I can almost do them on autopilot. We'll see. :)

Beautiful series Donald. Rest your eyes between stints at the vice, but continue to tie and share your wonderful creations. My eyes may be younger, but my sight is not 20/20, nor are my own offerings as neat and well formed, you give me something to aspire to.
