Roadkill ~ That #4 Dai Riki appears to be a salmon fly hook; did you tie this with steelhead in mind?

Wow! Nice big fly.
That is about the only drawback with Puke, is is long in the barbs for a wrapped hackle. You can tie a bunch of fibres rolled around the shank out over the eye to the desired length and push it back against the thorax for smaller ties. They are brittle-ish fibres though and do not take a lot of pushing and prodding without some breakage.
They are good and soft which gives plenty of movement in a hackle.
But Poss'-n-Puke' are a great combination and shown very well here.
