I feel a great disturbance in the Force... Amazing tie: did you whip-finish at the eye, or with a little bit of extra dubbing behind the hackle?

The latter. A thread whip finish for security, and a dubbed whip finish for neatness.

Excellent, I should have picked up on that from the order of your materials list. :) BTW, that's a great looking dubbing mix for the thorax--between it and the cream abdomen I'd fish that fly to everything from Cahill's to Hendrickson's in my part of the world.
