Doug's Tups Variations

Post by tie2fish » Sun Aug 12, 2012 2:03 pm

Along with keeping the weeds at bay on his mini-farm and helping his wife Mona take care of a sizeable garden, our friend Dougsden has managed to spend some time at his vise lately. This time it's a selection of his variations on the venerable Tup's pattern, and Doug reports that the bluegills in the ponds at his estate regularly inhale these with relish. I can easily see why ...

Exquisite flies and photographs. I can see why the pond locals are so taken with them. :D

Doug - Gorgeous flies! It's a wonder you have any fish left in your pond, if your fishing with these. They look like they would clean out the pond in short order.

Bill - Thank you for the beautiful photographs and sharing them with us. Much appreciated.

Doug, you've put together a nice Tups medley here. You're in good hands with the photographer too. Nice pics of some very nice work. Nice job, fellas.

Doug and Bill,
Great post. Good to see so much vitality in this great old pattern. The variations are cool.
