Named (by a buddy and I) for a run on one of my favorite Freestone rivers, this pattern has become a staple for me in the Fall and early Winter.

Great looking flymphy tie. Those soft hen hackles should give plenty of life and action in the water and a great colour combination.

MM, thank you for the kind words. This pattern fits my fly box to a Tee. Unassuming, drab, a wall flower if you will. It gets more eye rolls than atta boys. Basic, easy to tie, and more important easy to fish. Yep, my kind of pattern. :)

That sums up 90% of the flies in the fly boxes I actually take fishing. Flies like that work well here. :D

I would happily accept any excess production of this pattern that you don't have space for, Wayne.

Nicely done. Reminiscent of an Adams. Another great generalist.

Mine too, Wayne I'd have very high expectations with a box full of these. Great pattern and especially well tied.

Nice classic fly suitable for color variations to cover a lot of bases on the water! ;)
