I found a Coq-de-Leon hen skin, brown speckled among my skins colection.
I really like it, so here are a couple of flies utilising it.

Brown Spider
Hook: # 12 Grip.
Silk: Grey Pearsall.
Rib: Yellow wire small.
Body: Mole dyed brown.
Hackle: Brown speckled hen CdL.

March Brown Nymph.
Hook: # 12 Ideal Nymph.
Silk: Bright Orange YLI.
Tail: Speckled brown hen fibres.
Rib: Copper wire fine.
Body: Light Hare’s Ear.
Thorax: Dark Hare’s Ear.
Hackle: Brown speckled hen, CdL.

It's easy to see why you like it. I do too.

Killer flies, Donald. The CDL hen looks like nice stuff.
