Very nice! I would fish that with confidence as a tube caddis nymph here........ which at times is 80-90% of a trouts diet in local waters.

Killer fly. Love that style hook. I tie a lot of patterns on it.
I'd carry that in my fly box anytime.

This past Spring these Net Builders were everywhere
I used another pattern inspired by you to capitalize on the abundance of these caddis
I will switch threads after this...Very good idea sir!

Pardon me Bill whilst I pick up my jaw that I dropped when I saw this beauty! It looks very much like the caddis worms inside the cases that I picked apart while wading around in the Willowemoc. They were everywhere! Your pattern is excellent as always!
For the love of caddis and all their immitations,
Dougsden

Bill,
This is freaky. Doesn't look human-made at all.
And Wayne, you're right in tune.
I have no idea what midge tubing is, but I'm thinking I need some.

Bill, I really like this pattern with the grouse markings just setting it off. An especially nice touch to match thread for the head color. Another great pattern.
Wayne, you're tubing work this year has been a great inspiration. The pic of that natural really says it all.

Great fly but I would probably like it even more with a silver tinsel underwrap.

That's a great looking fly 2fish. Nicely proportioned case, the taper and curve is perfect. The buggy legs and antenae are also really good too, good work.
