#13 Mickievicz Letort Dry Fly
Silk: ash
Hackle: chukar
Abdomen: gray wool + orange wool, single strands of embroidery yarn
Rib: silvery wire
Thorax: Hare's ear and seal spun on Clark block

My father had trimmed some of these chukar hackles, and I couldn't resist trying them.
Also, I was interested in the way tie2fish wrapped two colors of silk together to create a segmented body. Here I tied the gray and orange yarn strands together, and wrapped them together as you see in the photograph.

good color combinations. i like the ease of creating the body section with the two wrapped strands, I do that often as well, and on some of my nymphs, I use 2 or 3 different colored wires.

Lance, that is a nice fat bodied grub. I love the way the colour transitions through and compliments each section of the fly. Well done Sir. :D

gingerdun, Howdy;

Beautiful fly! Nice touch showing-off the spare hackle feather ... 8-)

This is really striking, Lance. The body segmentation effect worked out nicely, and you've applied your Dad's hackle feather to good advantage. An aesthetic gem.

Nice fly that begs to be tested in stream. That rib gets some extra punch following the black. 8-)

Great looking fly. Really like the markings on the Chukar hackle.

Lance - What a fetching fly. The body coloration is very harmonious with the mottling of the Chukar feather. The old man would be proud... ;)

Love this. The body mixtures and the overall effects are really fun to watch come together with your flies. Nice use of an underused feather.

The colors work very well together. Kinda March Brown-ish. Very buggy!
