Four more Turton Flies

Here are the flies on a white background.

Orl Fly
Hook:- # 12 Varivas 2200BL
Silk:- Red.
Body:- Bronze Peacock herl.
Hackle:- Grizzle cock.
The cock hackle made this one go eye down on the scanner.

Oak Fly
Hook:- # 12 Grip
Silk:- Yellow.
Rib:- Black wire small.
Thorax:- Light Brown Camel small.
Hackle:- Brahma hen Golden Straw.

July Blue Dun
Hook:- # 12 Drennan
Silk:- Ash coloured.
Body:- Grey rabbit under-fur,
mixed with yellow under-fur.
Hackle:- Dark dun hen.

Netted Fly
Hook:- # 12 Grip
Silk:- Yellow.
Body: - Yellow silk.
Thorax:- Yellow silk dubbing, small.
Hackle:- Brahma hen Golden Straw.

These are all from Turton's List, but with some modern modifications.

Great flies Donald and great scans for detail. These are the kind of posts that I have no trouble tying from when I sit down at the vise. :D

Excellent set of flies!! To bad the first one's fear of the camera
resulted in a view of the South end of a North bound flee... ;)

Fantastic set, very well tied and presented. You have this flatbed scanning trick sorted. :D

-Really nicely done, especially like Orl fly, I think it's good for grayling.
