How did you dub the body, or rather by which method?
Photo is a little tightly cropped on my screen and I cannot fully appreciate the hook or hackle, but it is still a fine looking tie.

The body and thorax were just noodle dubbed. The photo is cropped a little too tight - guess I was concentrating on the body rather than the whole fly.

Okay, now that's just a lovely wee fly. Love the colors. I'd like to see this one in William Anderson's water tank.

I actually quite like this pic. I try for the sake of continuity to display my flies in a similar way, but a pic like this really reveals much more about the fly. Beautifully tied.

Ron's right. You should definitely send this and most of your flies to me...for safe keeping.

I like the fly and the photo, minus the object in the upper left corner. It's a nice reprive to see flies in different crops and settings now and then than the standard fly in vise shot.

Carl, I agree about the different "format" from the typical fly-in-vise shots. I tend to think they look more interesting, in an "artsy" way. I guess it all depends on what you are trying to convey. There is a lot to be said about consistency in the presentations. I don't think one could get any more consistent than Hans; his photographic technique, both technical and presentation wise, are impeccable. He has stated that his goal is to present the flies in a very consistent manor, and he does that extremely well.
By the way, the item in that photo is the edge of the hen neck used for the hackle. I am using non-auto extension tubes, not a macro lens, so I have to shoot with the aperature wide open, which gives an extremely narrow depth of field where the object is in focus. Bet that was clear as mud. I find this photography thing is a lot of fun to explore, and I'm at a point in life where I can't get any more grey hairs, anyway.
