Thread/Body - Griffith Sheer 14/0 Orange, Body w/thin Coat of SH for durability
Thorax - Red Peacock Herl
Hackle - Snipe Tail Feather

Beautiful fly. That thread body is incredible. I can't see a fish turning away from this one.

That's a great hackle/thorax combination...

FWIW, your use of a thread body reminds me of a trick that Aaron ("Skunkaroo" on the board) had to fine-tune his body colors--he would wrap a very fine segment of Pearsall's Marabou floss back over a thread underbody (e.g. hot orange floss over claret thread for, say, the body of a Spanish Needle) to darken the fly, especially with the silk wetted through.

That is just an insanely clean dressing. Wonderful colors and proportions. I like it a lot.

I agree with Ron. "Insanely clean" is a perfect description. Rodger, do you fish this style (thread abdomen) of pattern very often? I use the heavy sewing Coats & Clark thread just for its bulk. I don't think I would have to if I could tie as precise as you.

Outstanding execution on the body wraps and a thorax that's just the right size to compliment that snipe hackle length. Overall superb.
