So I was able to get in some time at the vise yesterday and worked out a couple of patterns using some of the beautiful materials I received from friends here on the forum. This is tied with a dyed partridge from Carl Sanders. Much thanks.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the encouragement. It's been a while.
CB, I tried to write something intelligent sounding about my tying wanting to find that place between flymphs and spiders once, but it came off clumsy and in the end didn't need saying.

Spider or flymph, it's a lovely wee fly, no matter what name it goes by. Love the proportions and the hook. Don't think I've seen that Daiichi model around here. Well dressed fly.

Sweet looking tie William, gives me a much better appreciation of what they are meant to look like.
Carl sure did a nice dye job on those hackles, you display them well.

William - You "dun" good!
( sorry...I just couldn't help myself... )
Superbly dressed fly. I need to pick up a pack of these hooks, when I go to the flyshop tomorrow. Sweet iron.

I have become a sucker for the Partridge and Mole since fishing it with Hank last summer. Your pattern takes it to a whole new level William. Your flawless execution, and great photography sure bring that fly to life!
I am promising myself not to try to obtain any dyed Partridge, No matter how great it looks!

You're back with a real flourish, william. That is a mighty fine fly in all respects.
